SIDEY’S strengthened their position at the top of the Tobago Football Association (TFA) Premier Division with a 2-0 shut out of Stokely Vale on Wednesday night.

Prolific goalscorer Pavel Warrick sent the men from Speyside on their way with a 23rd minute goal on the second game of a double- header at River Bank.

But they had to wait until the 68th minute for a goal by Reaneil Strewart to wrap up the three points. With challengers Leeds being held to a 1-1 draw by Roxborough Lakers in the earlier game, it means Sidey’s (37 points) now hold a four-point advantage.

Gereeb Louis scored in the 28th minute to give Leeds (33 points) the lead, but Affina McKenna grabbed the equaliser in the 68th.

At Signal Hill Ground, Georgia FC drubbed Black Rock 5-0 on goals by Jabari Mitchell getting a double, Chris Lewis and Khalil Thomas getting one each along with an own goal.

In Championship Division action, leaders Signal Hill United dumped bottom-of-the-table Carnbee/ Mt Pleasant 5-0.
