The Trinidad and Tobago Football Association will resume its Youth Community Football Clinics this coming Saturday with at the Nelson Mandela Park (formerly King George V Park) in Port of Spain from 9am.

Last year the TTFA launched this program and conduced several clinics in areas such as Blanchisseuse, Manzanilla, Debe, La Brea, Morvant, Point Fortin and Palo Seco.

Over 1,000 youngsters from close to forty primary schools received formal training at the three-hour clinics conduced by the TTFA youth coaches and the schools each received ten Chevrolet indestructible footballs through the FA’s partnership with the One World Futbol project.

President of the Republic Anthony Carmona launched the campaign last year at Blanchisseuse and continues to support the TTFA’s initiative. This Saturday, TTFA President Raymond Tim Kee will be present to witness the first clinic for 2015 for which various schools have already been identified and invited to attend by the TTFA.

Among the partners for Saturday’s clinich include Lifestyle Motors and Scotiabank Trinidad and Tobago.
Tim Kee said he was eagerly anticipating the resumption of the youth clinics.

“This is definitely one of the programs I am pleased to see continuing as part of the Association’s schedule of activities for 2015. Last year I felt we had orchestrated something that was new to the association in terms of our outreach community programs and from all accounts it was very well received,” Tim Kee stated.

“We had to break but now I am quite excited to see that we will resuming and continuing our efforts to assist with the development of football in some of the communities through the primary schools and other football groups.

What this does is afford the youngsters and opportunity to engage in healthy activity and get an early feel of what it is to participate in football clinics and interact with their peers as well as our youth coaches who are involved in the national development programs,” Tim Kee added.

Former National Senior Team captain and Ex-Olympic Team head coach Angus Eve will be the lead coach at this Saturday’s clinic.

Following Saturday’s session in Port of Spain, the TTFA Youth Community clinics will continue on March 14th at the Larry Gomes Stadium and March 21st at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium training pitch.
