University of New Haven soccer players Maurice Aboud and Amy Desmarias have been honored as College Division ESPN The Magazine District 1 Academic All-Americans as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Aboud, a junior from Westmorings, Trinidad, was named a Second Team All-District selection and Desmarias, a sophomore from South Windsor, CT, was named a Third Team All-District pick.
Maurice, a Forensic Science major, saw action in 15 matches for the men’s team; while Desmarais, a Sports Management major, scored two goals and had two assists in 11 matches played for the Charger women.
