Junior Makesi Lewis was named  to the National Soccer Coaches Athletic Association (NSCAA) All-Midwest Region second team, while seniors Machel James and were selected to the third team, as announced by the NSCAA.

Lewis, a native of Diego Martin Trinidad, scored three goals for the Golden Grizzlies, including one game-winner, and tallied eight points, tying for second-place on the team. He was also named to The Summit League all-league second team for this performance in 2009.

James, a defender from St. Ann’s, Trinidad, was a key part of the Oakland defensive effort that only allowed 11 goals during the season, with only two in league play, the fewest tally among all Summit League teams. He was also named to the all-league first team.

St. Louis, a forward hailing from Chaguanas, Trinidad, led the Golden Grizzlies with four goals, including two game-winners, and nine points, ranking in the top-10 in the league in all three categories. St. Louis joined James on the all-league first team.
