SPORTS AND Games FC Santa Rosa will be looking to secure the National Super League Premiership Division crown today when they host Real Maracas at the Marvin Lee Stadium, Macoya.

Today will feature the penultimate round of games — Match Day 25 — with Santa Rosa needing a win to officially dethrone Defence Force as the Premiership title-holders. 

After 24 matches, Santa Rosa have a tally of 48 points, four more than the Army-Coast Guard combination, who will be entertaining Guaya United at the Defence Force headquarters in Chaguaramas. 

The Defence Force-Guaya United game will begin at 3.30 pm and Defence Force will have to get three points to keep their title hopes alive. 

However, even if Defence Force are victorious against Guaya United, Santa Rosa will wrap up the title if they get full points against the inconsistent Maracas in their clash, which is slated to begin at 5 pm. 

Third-placed Club Sando Moruga will make the inter-island trip to face second- f rom-b ot tom Bethel United at the Mt Gomery Recreation Ground, from 6 pm, while an hour earlier, 1976 FC Phoenix will host table-proppers Marabella Family Crisis Centre at the Canaan Recreation Ground. 

In other matches today, Police will meet neighbours Queen’s Park at the St James Barracks, WASA will oppose Petrotrin Palo Seco at the WASA Ground in St Joseph (both games starting at 3.30 pm) while Matura ReUnited will make the lengthy drive to Irwin Park to battle Siparia Spurs from 5 pm.
