Joe Public stayed within touching distance of leaders WASA when they demolished Crab Connection 7-0 at the Marvin Lee Stadium, Macoya on Monday as the rescheduled Match Day 15 of the bmobile National Super League took place.
Seven persons got their names on the scoresheet for the “Eastern Lions” — ex-national Under-20 striker Christopher Sam (tenth minute), former Trinidad and Tobago midfielder and captain Travis Mulraine (48th), Brian Bain (75th), Keston Henry (76th), Dwight Elliott (80th), Kern Cooper (83rd) and Grayson Edwards (90th).

Trent Lougheed had the distinction of registering a beaver-trick as the Trinidad and Tobago Under-20 team thrashed M&M Harvard 5-2 at the Ato Boldon Stadium, Couva.

Lougheed was on target in the 14th, 53rd, 60th and 67th minutes while his fellow striker Jamal Gay rounded off the scoring in the 90th. Glen Walker (63rd) and Jabari Samuel (88th) scored for Harvard, who remained in 11th place on the 13-team standings.

Angostura 1976 FC Phoenix moved to fourth position after trouncing the University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) 6-0 at Canaan, Bon Accord, with a pair from Lejandro Williams (43rd and 52nd) and one apiece from from Kevin Stewart (sixth), Kevin Keith (32nd), Dominique Kerr (63rd) and Simon Nedd (68th).

Club Sando were another team in a ruthless mood on the day, hammering Defence Force 5-2 at the Army base, Chaguaramas. Derron Matthews (70th and 75th), Donrick Mascall (21st), Andy London (30th) and Jason Boodram (87th) were on target for Sando with Kerwyn Coa (27th) and Kenrick Saunders (72nd) replying for the “Teteron lads”.

Economy Strikers withstood a 90th minute own goal to defeat ALCOA Carenage United 2-1 at the Youth Camp, Chaguaramas; Willis Villafana (11th) and Irvin Reyes (87th) scored for Economy.

Garvin Gulston (14th) and Robert Gomes (56th) were the goal-getters as St Francois Nationals eased past Harlem Strikers 2-0 at Frederick Settlement, Caroni.

Action in the rescheduled Match Day 20 will be contested today with WASA travelling to the Manny Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella to face Club Sando at six o’clock.
