Harlem Strikers pulled off a goalless draw against Joe Public as play in the bmobile National Super League continued yesterday with round six matches. Strikers who were smarting from a 6-3 hammering from WASA in the last round, to earn a share of the match points against the league leaders at Frederick Settlement in Caroni.
Joe Public, nicknamed the “Eastern Lions,” had won all five matches before. Despite the draw, however, Public holds a four point lead over second place Economy Strikers. Meanwhile, Economy Strikers, who were tied for third position with Club Sando at the end of round five, moved into second with a 2-1 win over St Francois Nationals at the Sangre Grande Recreation Ground.

Kevin Jagdeosingh opened the scoring for the winners in the 57th minute, before Marlon Bowen levelled the scores with a 75th minute strike for Nationals. Strikers, however, would get the winner from Irvin Rayes with ten minutes left in regulation time. WASA on the other hand slipped to third after they were held to a 2-2 draw by Club Sando at the Mannie Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella.
