"It will not be easy by any stretch of the imagination, but it is not impossible, we can get past the Mexicans, and move on to the semi-finals," those were the bold words uttered by W Connection captain Earl Jean following the team's final training session before the second leg quarterfinal clash in the CONCACAF Champions Cup.

It's the type of game players live for, and there was certainly a feeling of great anticipation after Coach Stuart Charles Fevrier concluded the final session at the Jalisco stadium on Tuesday night.

Skipper Earl Jean, told us afterwards, he personally can't wait for the referee's opening whistle, he said, "It's a privilege and an honour for me to lead W Connection in such a mammoth match in the clubs history, one of our objectives going into the game is to prove to the world that after Trinidad and Tobago qualified for the World Cup, that the professional teams coming out of Trinidad can compete with the best and stand out on the international stage."

The word on the ground in Guadalajara is that the Jalisco Stadium will be filled to capacity.

This stadium is one filled with history, with a holding capacity of about 70,000, the Jalisco Stadium was a major venue for World Cup matches when Mexico hosted the World Cup back in 1970 and then in 1986.

The great Brazil would have graced this most popular venue, and it is certainly a big moment for the unheralded W Connection team.

Jean, says, "This has always been the dream of our President David John Williams, he has always dreamed of the club playing in the CONCACAF Champions Cup and we want to make this dream a happy reality for him."

The club's President David John Williams, was unable to make it to Mexico, but is well represented by members of his board of directors.

John Williams however took time to call the players, and addressed them, while on speaker phone, giving them the assurance they have his fullest support.

"Fellas I have every confidence in all of you and I know you will go out there and make me proud, I know you all can do it, I believe in each and every one of you...good luck!" this was followed by the players shouting in one harmonious voice "Presi".

Possible Line-Ups
W Connection were dealt a serious blow, when defensive midfielder Christian Viveros was denied a Mexican visa and spent a week in his homeland Colombia trying to sort it out.

Viveros only arrived on Tuesday night, along with Brazilian midfielder Ronaldo Viana and they both joined the team in the final session before game, and coach Fevrier may be forced to bring him on from the bench.

Viveros expressed disappointment as to how things turned out with his visa saying, "I really wanted to be here with the team, train and play the game, but I am still glad to be here and I am hoping the coach uses me in the second half, I am really eager to play my part in the team's success, I have been training with a Colombian club over the last week, so I am fit and ready to play if called upon. Young Kern Cupid has gotten the nod to start.

Another issue facing the boys from Couva is their number one goalkeeper Jan Michael Williams is out after receiving a red card in the first leg, and young Kerwyn Beckles who came in and played a major role in the first game will be once again thrust into limelight with a lot of expectations resting on this young man's shoulder.

In the middle of the park, a lot will depend on the experience of Jose Luis Seabra, who is expected to start tonight along with his Brazilian teammate Gefferson Goulart and they will be joined in the middle by the young talented trio of William Da Silva Oliveria, Hughtun Hector and Kern Cupid.

Up front will be the lone figure of skipper earl jean, and the 25 year old Andre Toussaint who looked sharp in training and may come on from the bench if needed.

As for the Mexicans they also have some shuffling to do as two of their key players including their captain were called to national duty.

Ramon Morales and Johnny Magallon will be out, and there is an enormous amount of pressure on Coach Jose Manuel De La Torre to turn the tables on the Caribbean team.

He will be depending a lot on the goal scoring form of Mexican international Omar Bravo to get the ball in the back of the net.

Bravo has scored five goals in his last three games, including a hattrick against Necaxa in a Mexican League game last week, and the Mexican coach will be hoping his star striker comes good this evening.

Kick off is at at 8.45 p.m. (Mexico time), 10.45 p.m. (T&T time) at the Jalisco stadium in Guadalajara
