In September 2007, I showed Marvin Andrews’ DVD, With God All Things are Possible, to my church's Youth Group. At the end of the viewing, I vowed to get Marvin to visit the Morvant Open Bible Church on the Rock and speak to the Youth Group the next time he was in the country. James 2:20 reads “But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?”. Using that as my impetus, I attempted to contact Marvin through the Raith Rovers Fan club, but I was put in touch with one of his associates. Funnily enough, the associate thought that I wanted a copy of the DVD. After correcting her assumption and making the request for Marvin's presence at the church, the waiting game began.

We are pleased to announce that this year's event will take place at The Hub, Regent's Park on Sunday July 6th. For those of you who were lucky enough to be at last year's event, it's being held in the same place.

This is a wonderful day out for Trinis and friends, open to families and limers alike. It's gonna be food, fun and football in the park once again. So bring the kids and even the pets out and let's spend a great day together.

LIMERS ARE ADVISED TO WALK WITH THEIR OWN ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES AS ONE OF THE CONDITIONS OF OUR RENTAL AGREEMENT IS THAT WE ARE NOT TO SUPPLY ALCOHOL ON THE DAY.

The football tournament itself is open to anyone willing to put a team together. The tournament adopts a round-robin format, through to the semi-finals and finals, where this year's champions will be crowned.

It's the last friendly international before we face England on June 1st 2008...so come see our Soca Warriors play Barbados on Sunday May 11th at the Marvin Lee Stadium, Centre of Excellence. Kick-off time is 6:00pm but the lime starts at 5:00pm with Third Bass providing music. Local cuisine on sale - including Adele's Bake and Shark from Maracas. Fully stocked bar.

Already they have been doing Trinidad & Tobago proud! On March 19th, they beat El Salvador 1-0. On March 26th, they held Jamaica's Reggae Boyz to an exciting 2-2 draw and on April 27th, they defeated Grenada 2-0. So come see them play some brilliant football against Barbados on Sun May 11th 2008.

Women, do you have what it takes to compete at the international level? The Trinidad & Tobago Football Federation is actively seeking out female football players to be part of their Women's Program. To be eligible to represent the country you must either be a citizen of Trinidad & Tobago, or at least one of your parents must be a citizen. Despite some hiccups, the Warrior Nation's big T&T flag was displayed in all it's splendour at the game featuring Trinidad & Tobago and England. Once again it was featured on the front page of the Trinidad Guardian (June 2nd, 2008) as well as on page 5 of the same publication.

Black CatsThe final match of the 07/08 season! It's been about a year since we last visited our friends up north, and this match provides the perfect opportunity to combine a bit of footie and loads of fun. Arsenal is sure to provide one of the most entertaining football around, so a better match could not be had for the final game of the season. We want to show our support for our Soca Warriors currently playing at Sunderland AFC: Kenwyne Jones, Carlos Edwards and of course, Dwight Yorke. So let's head up north in our numbers and show them once again how Trinis (& friends...lol) do it. Wear your T&T kit if you've got one, or just wear red!
