John-Williams praised and censured at EGM.

President of the T&T Football Association David John-Williams came in for praises for his genuine efforts to construct the now famous Home of Football in Balmain, Couva, but at the end of Wednesday’s reconvened Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) held at the nearby National Cycling Centre (NCC), a motion was moved to censure him for his approach.

US, Mexico, Canada to host 2026 World Cup but…

TT Football Association president David John-Williams is happy but not ready to dance following the news that the 2026 World Cup will be played in CONCACAF. At the FIFA Congress yesterday, it was announced that the joint bid by USA, Canada and Mexico won the rights for the 2026 showpiece, where 48 teams will feature for the first time. The CONCACAF region has been awarded six and a half spots. It has not been determined whether all three host countries will get automatic berths.

UNDER-17 men’s national coach Russell Latapy has accused TT Football Association (TTFA) president David John-Williams of behaving in an unprofessional manner as it related to a lack of communication and non-payment of salaries and perks owed to him and the management team.
