Former National Under-17 captain Brendon Creed is at Temple University in the United States and is currently part of the team’s preseason campaign.

Temple men’s team started their preseason training on the weekend as they work to improve on last year’s results that nobody in the conference expected out of them.

After being picked to finish last by every coach in the American Athletic Conference, Temple finished fourth in the conference with a 10-4-4, 3-1-4 record and won Philadelphia Soccer Six Team of the Year.

The Owls just missed the NCAA Tournament, and they will use this preseason to get ready to make it to the next level this year.

Creed was in the starting line up in a 3-2 win over Lafayette on Tuesday is expected to be involved again in the season opener against Drexel at home on August 29th.

The talent will be there for the Owls as head coach David MacWilliams and assistant Brian Clairhaut have assembled a top-20 recruiting class for the second straight season with Creed included Miguel Polley, who redshirted last season, will look to make an instant impact after being ranked the 26th best recruit of 2013 by ESPN.

Creed, formerly of Fatima College is doing a major in civil engineering. He was the captain of the previous T&T Under 17 team which came to within a victory of qualifying for the 2013 Fifa Under 17 World Cup.
