St. Ann’s Rangers joined fellow TT Pro League clubs Defence Force, W Connection, Adam’s Construction San Juan Jabloteh, DIRECTV North East Stars and Police FC in the FA Trophy competition quarter-final round following a 3-1 win over WASA FC’s Eastern Football Association side at the WASA Ground, St. Joseph on Monday afternoon.

Darren Castillo had the home side in front by the 9th minute, however an own goal by Joseph Peters in the 25th minute leveled the scores.

Rangers’ striker Cameron Roget then netted a double before the break, finding the back of the WASA net in the 37th and 42nd minutes for a 3-1 score in the Round Of 16 clash.

In another Round Of 16 fixture on Monday, WASA FC Super League outfit overcame home side QPCC Football Club 4-1 at the Queen’s Park Savannah to advance into the quarter-final round.

Glen Walker netted a late double in quick succession with goals in the 76th and 79th minutes for WASA following items by teammates Darin Lewis in the 16th minute and a penalty strike by Fabien Garcia in the 62nd minute. Sean Ramdoo got the lone QPCC item in the 28th minute.

The Round Of 8 matchups will be drawn on Thursday, three days before Caledonia AIA’s Round Of 16 fixture against FC Santa Rosa from 5pm at the UTT Ground, O’Meara Campus on Sunday 12 February.

And on Wednesday from 3:30pm at the Marvin Lee Stadium, Joe Public hosts Bertille St. Clair Coaching School.
