SKHY Football Academy’s Under-14 outfit including 18 players, two coaches and two managers leave T&T today bound for Texas, USA, to challenge two American and one Mexican club, in its four-team group at the 2013 Dallas Cup.
Led by coaches Colin Skeene and Orrin John-Baptiste, and managers Gavin Gamaldo and Garth Ward, the team will feature in its seventh consecutive Dallas Cup, and will play at least three matches.
SKHY will kick off its quest for the top spot in the group against New Jersey club EDP TIP, on Sunday.
The two other matches, against Arsenal FC (California) and Seleccion RCL Soccer Monterrey (Mexico), will play on the following Monday and Wednesday, respectively.
Only one team will advance from each group to the quarterfinal knock-out stage. There are seven groups, meaning one team which did not win its group will be drawn into the knock-out stage at random.
The team consists of T’shad Selvon, Levi Edwards, Joshua Araujo-Wilson, Kiral Ifill, Twon Grannum, Juan Cairo, Remuell Medina, Keyshawn Villafana, Justin Brooks, Kevin Wharfe, Aaron Skeene, Ravaldo Prince, Jelani Pierre, Teon Sylvester, Darius Dickson, Christian Williams, Bixente Ragbeer and Yannick Gamaldo.
