Outstanding amateur football club, Cap Off Youths emerged winner in both the Under-9 and U-13 divisions at the 2013 Central Football Association (CFA) Indoor Youth Football Competition, played at the Central Regional Indoor Sports Arena (CRISA), Chaguanas, last month.

Both teams earned their crowns after penalty kicks in the two finals. The U-9 final saw Cap Off face W Connection, with the former taking the win 2-1 on penalty kicks following a goalless draw. Cap Off’s U-9 team advanced to the final after it blew away Las Lomas United 11-0 in a last-four stage when Jaron Pascall scored four goals and Tyreke Harding a hat-trick. The other goals were scored by Omari Charles (a double), Jovan Alexander and Jessiah Hercules.

In the U-13 final, Cap Off Youths and Blast FC, which played well to earn a spot in the title match, dew 1-1 in the final, before Cap Off emerged victorious from spot kicks. Kendell Alexander scored the equalizer for Cap Off after Jelani Augustus scored Blast FC’s opener.

Cap Off eventually won 2-1 from the penalty spot. Despite finishing runner-up in the U-13 division, Blast FC celebrated the U-11 title after securing a convincing 5-0 victory over W Connection. Joshua Ragbir, who scored the most goals in the division, scored all five against W Connection.

Pascall, who was superb for Cap Off Youths scored the most goals in the U-9 division, while Yorke, who has shone consistently for Blast FC, picked up the award for most goals in the U-13 division. Medals and trophies were sponsored by Plipdeco.
