D’ABADIE DELIVERANCE Sanct-uary whipped Valencia Pentecostal Assembly 5-2 last Saturday in the first leg, of the quarter-final round, of the Churches Football League knockout tournament.

At Bon Air Gardens in Arouca, D’Abadie were indebted to a hat-trick from Jereme Beepath, while Ricardo Mathura and Robelto Mathura chipped in with one apiece.

Nicholas Marcano and Kazio Paponette were the goal-getters for Valencia.

At the Prime Minister’s Park in Five Rivers, Arouca, Church on the Rock had a 4-1 win, away to Reformation Life Centre. Wendell Chapman and Shaquille Clarke netted two goals each, while Quinton Forgenie got the consolation strike for Reformation.

Cumuto also had a similar 4-1 victory over Global Encounter Ministries at the Maloney Recreation Ground. Kevon Blake led the scoring for Cumuto with a pair, while Kevin Petrovani and Darrel Jessop had one each. For Global Encounter Ministries, Dacien John was on target.

In the other first leg game, the Curepe Amen-Daybreak fixture ended in a goalless draw at Park Street, Morvant. The quarter-final second leg matches will take place today.
