Malabar Superstars Football Club has embarked on a journey to host its own tournament, Mundial de Futbol, at Arima.
The international women’s football tournament will be held over a nine-day period from January 9 -18 next year, and will feature five teams.
Organisers are seeking to attract teams from Brazil, Puerto Rico, St Lucia and Tobago, along with hosts Malabar Superstars Football Club.
Malabar Superstars is in its 17th year of existence, and for the past four years have had a women’s programme, with a membership of well over thirty-five girls.
Leading up the tournament there will be celebrity football matches, juggling competitions, giveaways and training sessions with international players.
