Founder and director of the QRC Football Academy, Pete Britto recently announced that Chevrolet, Blink bmobile and Lennie George Construction have come onboard to sponsor the Academy, which has had a lot of success over the years.
The Academy, which started in 2010, was established to develop holistic individuals in the areas of academics, football and life skills to prepare them to make positive contributions to society.
In just under four years of existence QRC Football Academy have had success in various tournaments. They were the league champions in the Tyro 2011 Summer League and runners-up in the Knockout Competition. They won the Knockout the following year and were second in the League.
In 2012 they entered two teams in a Memorial Tournament hosted by Clint Marcelle, with both teams eventually meeting in the final.
Last year their Under-13 and Under-15 teams were successful in the Tyro Summer League and Knockout competitions. They also won the Stokely Vale Easter Under-14 Tournament last year.
