Intercol ‘Old Boys’ set for ‘Blast from the Past’

‘A Blast from the Past’, featuring six of the country’s top inter-col teams, was yesterday launched at the Queen’s Park Oval.

The intercol reunion, which is being hosted by RAG Sport Marketing will feature St Mary’s, Fatima, Queen’s Royal College, Presentation San Fernando, St Benedict’s and Naparima College and will be staged on October 23 at the Oval.

It will see several of the country’s former top players donning their gear to raise funds for renal care patients in T&T and will be staged under the kind patronage of The John Hayes Memorial Kidney Foundation.

Among the invited guest at yesterday’s launching were event coordinator Andre Lawrence of RAG Sport Marketing, Dexter Skeene CEO of the T&T Pro League, former national player and Fatima old boy Alivin Corneal, Dr Emile Mohammed of West Shore Medical, Lisa Abraham of QPCC and former  QRC old boy Tansley Thompson.

Each shared their experiences of close friends/family suffering with chronic kidney diseases and added their kind words and support for the event.

According to Lawrence each school will field teams in two age groups 35-49 and 50 and over during the whole day exercise that is guaranteed to bring back fond memories. In addition, an exhibition game consisting of two Girls Schools will also take place.
