Coker leads Connection U-17s romp

Phillip Coker helped himself to a beavertrick as W Connection slammed Ma Pau 7-0 in their Digicel Pro League Under-17 Division Group B match on Sunday.

Akeems Grant opened the scoring for W Connection in the 31st minute while Coker fired in his first seven minutes later for a 2-0 half-time lead. Five minutes into the second-half, Coker picked up where he left off for a 3-0 lead while Adisa Cumberbatch made it 4-0 in the 52nd minute.

Coker then added strikes in the 61st and 74th minute before Kwame Gonzales completed the scoring six minutes before full time. With the win, W Connection improved to 16 points from six matches in Group B, one more than Tobago United, 1-0 winners over St Ann’s Rangers thanks to a Javan Francis item. In Group A, leaders, Joe Public whipped Police 3-1 led by a double from Curtly Dodds and one from Kyle Bartholomew to push its tally to 13 points, four ahead of idle Clico San Juan Jabloteh.
