Sean De Silva in SheffieldTrinidad and Tobago’s National Under 20s arrived in England on Sunday evening and had their first training session at the Sheffield United Training Academy on Monday morning prior to its encounter against the Sheffield United eleven on Wednesday.

Zoran Vranes conducted a two-hour session on Monday and will put his players through two more sessions before Wednesday’s match.
Simon Argall, operations director at Sheffield United, said: "We will be pleased to welcome the Trinidad and Tobago team to Sheffield and Bramall Lane.

"The international clash is the latest to be staged here in the last couple of years. This includes the U19 European Championship Elite Qualifying tournament in June, the televised England v Scotland legends game and Sheffield FC's anniversary match with Inter Milan.

"Bramall Lane now has the facilities to provide a fantastic surrounding for teams from around the world and we hope this will be the start of many more visits to the city in the coming years."

Vranes added to TTFF Media:  “Well this is an excellent opportunity to train in conditions like these. The facilities are very good and it is good for the players to work on before the upcoming matches. We will make the best of the opportunity. We have had regular sessions all along so it’s a routine we are trying to follow except that we are now away from home and trying to focus on getting ready for the competition.”

FIFA Vice President Jack Warner will be among the guests of the club at Wednesday’s match.

Following the friendly, T&T’s Under 20s will be guests of United at the club's game against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.
