There will be a new and exciting youth football tournament on the calendar for sports fans across Trinidad and Tobago this month. For many years, the Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL) has been duly considered the breeding ground of the nation’s young football stars of the future. The Next Level Consulting Limited U19 Community Invitational Tournament kicks off on 21 December and seeks to build upon that youth football landscape by providing another platform for our nation’s youths to play, to develop and to be scouted and/or recruited for the next stage of their football careers.

Cau­tion Foot­ball Club was crowned dou­ble cham­pi­ons of the BPTT Raza­ck Jan Memo­r­i­al Ma­yaro Foot­ball League when it cap­tured the knock­out tro­phy to add to their league ti­tle in a keen­ly-con­test­ed fi­nal at the Or­toire Recre­ation Ground last Sat­ur­day.

Ex-Liv­er­pool and Wigan goal­keep­er Chris Kirk­land is ex­pect­ed in for Sun­day’s Cream­ery Nov­el­ties Forty5 Char­i­ty Cup at the Ato Boldon Sta­di­um in Cou­va.

Dream Team overpowered Pinto United 3-0 on Sunday to win the final of the Fishing Pond Football League at the Manzanilla Recreation Ground. Playing in soggy conditions, Dream Team hit Pinto with three late goals to end their resistance and claim the $20,000 first prize. Pinto collected $5,000 for placing second.

East Mu­cu­rapo earned the right to com­pete for Sec­ondary Schools Foot­ball League (SS­FL) Fru­ta Form One Un­der-13 Na­tion­al knock­out ti­tle on Tues­day against south­ern­ers St Bene­dict's Col­lege at St Mary's Col­lege Ground, St Clair from 3:30 pm.

For­mer Eng­lish Pre­mier League goal­keep­er Chris Kirk­land will be in Trinidad as the fea­tured play­er in the Cream­ery Nov­el­ties Forty5 Char­i­ty Cup on De­cem­ber 15. Dur­ing his time here, Kirk­land will al­so host a goal­keep­er train­ing camp from De­cem­ber 16-18.

Saint Lucian icon Earl ‘Ball Hog’ Jean was the Most Valuable Player in the recent Tobago Masters Football Tournament, which he won with his team, ERA Masters.

DREAM TEAM will face Pinto United today with $20,000 up for grabs in the final of the Fishing Pond Football League at the Manzanilla Recreation Ground. The match kicks off at 6.30pm. The losers will take home $5,000.
