SSW Touring Limited, in association with the Tobago House of Assembly (Division of Education, Youth and Affairs and Sport/Division of Tourism and Transportation), will host the 5th Annual Tobago Invitational Masters Over-40 football tournament later this month.

Teams will vie for over US$6,5000 (TT$42,000) prize money, among them Defence Force, who won the 2014 title 5-3 on penalties over Juventus, who were going for a hat-trick of tournament wins. This year’s competition runs from October 31 to November 1 at the Canaan/Bon Accord and Plymouth Recreational Grounds.

Teams will compete in the 11-a-side competition, over three action-pack days of play, fun and entertainment. Already confirmed to participate are regional teams Georgetown Masters of Guyana, Lime Masters, Wildey FC and Empire FC of Barbados and Grenada’s Real Old Men.

The Caribbean teams will do battle with the sides from Trinidad and Tobago. Leading the Trinidad-based challenge will be defending champions Defence Force Masters, two time winners Juventus, and Toyota Masters. Among the teams expected to represent Tobago are 2014 semi-finalists Tobago All-Stars, Pheonix FC, Have-A-Time and Bethel United.
