National Super League (NSL) knock-out and league winners bmobile Joe Public leaped into the last four of the inaugural Carib Christmas Cup Football Tournament with a 7-2 thrashing of Real Maracas in the quarterfinal at the Marvin Lee Stadium, Macoya on Sunday.

Phoenix and Stokely Vale were knock-out of the Cup in front of a home crowd, in a double-header at the Dwight Yorke Stadium, Bacolet.

A minute later Ellis Dyett gave the host a 2-1 lead. Five minutes before the break, Real Maracas found the other leveller through an own-goal.

The teams returned to the pitch for the second-half, but with less than a minute into the start, Dyett was on target with his second goal and his team’s second lead. Joe Public sparked an attack from there, and the team got its fourth when Dyett again found the back of the net to seal a hat-trick.
