Marabella Family Crisis Centre sealed promotion to next season’s T&T Football Association’s National Super League after whipping Sidey’s FC 3-1 for top spot in the Champion of Champions Qualifying Tournament on Wednesday.

The trio of Kerville Jeremiah, Kevin Moodie and Emmanuel Adams were on target in the rescheduled at the Mannie Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella on Wednesday, to cancel out Pavel Warrick’s lone item for Sidey’s FC.

With the win, Marabella Family, the Southern Football Association Premier Division winners, moved to the top of the six-team qualifying table with ten points from its five-matches, the same as Northern Football Association Premier Division champions, Police FC, but ahead of goal-difference as both teams have sealed promotion, leaving Eastern Counties Football Union champions, Matura Reunited, Central Football Association winners, Cunupia FC, Eastern Football Association title-holders Malta Carib Alcons  and Sidey’s Fc to fight it out for the last remaining spot.

Yesterday, Sidey’s FC, without a point after two matches played the second of back-to-back encounters in Trinidad when it traveled to Matura Recreation Ground, Matura with third placed Matura Reunited (five points).

Sidey’s FC will then face Alcons on April 20 at Speyside on Monday April 20, before closing out the tournament against Cunupia, which also has five points, at Einburgh 500 Recreation Ground, two days later, and both from 4 pm.

Marabella Family Crisis Centre won 3-2 over East champions Malta Carib Alcons in the National Super League promotion series and are a point away from qualification to the National Super League next season.

Six 2014 champions of the third-tier local football association competition are battling for three spots into the semi-professional National Super League. Already qualified are North champions Police FC.
