A second half double from Andre Toussaint was enough to salvage a point for bmobile Joe Public in their come from behind 2-2 draw with 1976 FC Phoenix on Monday.

The blink/bmobile National Super League match was played at Joe Public’s home venue, the Marvin Lee Stadium, Macoya.

The league leaders were down 1-0 within 12 minutes when Andel Noray opened for the Tobago team. Phoenix then went 2-0 up when Darren Mitchell found the back of the net in the 25th minute.

With 2-0 down at the half, Joe Public returned with intent, and found a response in the 53rd, and moments later the equaliser in the 56th minute. Despite moments of pressure on either side of the pitch, the result stood.

Joe Public were four points clear at the top, while Phoenix gained a point which put them tied with three other teams, WASA Eagles and West Side Super Starzs, for third place.

Stokely Vale will put pressure on the leaders with an away win against Real Maracas at Maracas Recreation Ground, St Joseph.

The match will commence at Eagles and West Side Super Starzs will battle at Woodford Lodge, Chaguanas at the same time. In the 5 pm fixture, WASA and St Francois Nationals will battle at WASA Ground, St Joseph.
