Republic Bank laud Youth champs

THE REPUBLIC Bank-sponsored Republic Cup National Youth Football League held its prize-giving ceremony on Saturday at its Head Office, Park Street, Port-of-Spain.

Point Fortin Civic Centre won the Under-14 category, followed by San Juan Jabloteh and Marabella Family Crisis Centre. And Jaccee Jeffrey of Point Fortin was the recipient of the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award.

BLAST Youth Sport Academy captured the Under-12 division, ahead of Trendsetter Hawks and Jabloteh, while BLAST’s Jerry Morris was adjudged as the MVP.

And, in the Under-ten section, Trendsetter Hawks were the champions, with Cap Off Youths second and SKHY FC third, while Jahiem Marshall of Trendsetter was the MVP.

The victorious teams each collected cheques valued at $5,000, while the respective runners- up got $3,000 and the third-placed teams walked away with $2,000 apiece.
