76 goals in 15 games as YPL kicks off with a bang, Connection and Jabloteh grab double figures against debuting Club Sando and Police respectively in U-13s

San Juan Jabloteh recorded a perfect start to their Youth Pro League 2015 campaign by defeating Police FC at the Under-13, Under-15 and Under-17 levels in Round One Match Day One on Sunday.

Jabloteh, hosting Police at San Juan North Secondary in San Juan, recorded a 12-1 win in the Under-13 level -- a result that only W Connection did slightly better by whipping debuting Club Sando 12-0 in the same age group at Gilbert Park in Couva.

Molik Khan grabbed a hat-trick for the Connection under-13s coached by former Trinidad and Tobago international forward Leonson Lewis, while Adiica Ash got to a double and teammates Stevon Thomas, Joshua Joseph, Tarik Lee, Tyrique Joseph, Dawn St Rose and Nkosi Sampson added a goal each.

Malik Robinson and Rogers Dillon both scored twice for the Jabloteh Under-13s and teammates Nickell Alexander, Daniel David, Real Gill, Kaihim Thomas, Terrel Wiley, Jaheim Marshall, Jude Johnson and Tyrell Straker got a goal each. While Police’s consolation item was scored by Emmanuel Bruce.

Jabloteh, champions of last season’s Under-18/Reserve division and runners-up in the Under-14 division, also defeated Police 8-1 in the Under-15 and 4-0 in the Under-17 divisions on Sunday to contribute to 76 goals being scored in a total of 15 matches played on the opening day of the YPL 2015.

Kesean St Rose netted a beaver-trick for the Jabloteh Under-15s over Police while a goal each from Nickell Orr, Rakim Cabi and Jodel Brown, and an own goal contributed to the 8-1 score-line.

And to complete the Jabloteh hat-trick, a double by Dominic Douglas and a goal each from Khiesa Granger and Hail Beckles earned the home side a 4-0 win over visiting Police.

Connection, winners of last season’s Under-16 division, defeated Club Sando 3-0 in the Under-17 division on Sunday but had to settle for a 1-1 come-from-behind draw in the Under-15 division against the YPL newcomers.

At Trinity College East in Trincity, Defence Force and North East Stars played to 3-3 and 2-2 draws in the Under-13 and Under-15 divisions respectively before North East Stars, champions of last season’s Under-14 age group, registered a 3-1 win in the Under-17 division.

Caledonia, hosting Point Fortin Civic at the Maracas Recreation Ground in St. Joseph, registered wins, 3-0 and 4-1, in the Under-13 and Under-17 divisions respectively but were defeated 2-1 by the visitors in the Under-15 division.

Central FC, meanwhile registered 2-1 wins over visiting St. Ann’s Rangers at the New Settlement Ground in Chaguanas in the Under-13 and Under-17 divisions but were held to a 1-1 draw in the Under-15 division.
