Isa Bramble scored a second half winner to earn Club Sando a narrow 1-0 win over visiting Defence Force at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium Training Field on Wednesday in a rescheduled Round One Match Day Three Under-15 fixture of the Malta Carib Youth Pro League 2015.

Sando, who were defeated 6-0 by Defence Force in the Under-13 division on Sunday 29 March with Justin Araujo-Wilson scoring all six goals, had also edged the visitors 2-1 in the Under-17 division back then.

Now a week and a half later, 14-year-old Mayaro-born Bramble is the hero, netting in the 55th minute for the U-15s, as Sando celebrated a second win over Defence Force since being defeated at the U-13 division.

The win pushed Sando (7 points) into second place on the U-15 table, which is led by San Juan Jabloteh (9 points), while W Connection and North East Stars, with 5 points each, occupy third and fourth places respectively. Jabloteh also leads the U13 and U17 standings, while Sando are bottom of the ten-team U-13 table and seventh in the U17s.

Prior to the start of the season youth teams coordinator and head coach of the U-17 team, Gerald Elliot did state that there were setbacks at the U13 division, but said it was the ambition on the club to compete at all levels and not just make up numbers.

“[Our senior team] were able to compete at the Super League level and now we are ready just as our senior counterparts to take the next step [to compete in the Pro League,” Elliot said back then.

Club Sando will return to action on Sunday 12 April when they host Point Fortin Civic in the U-13 (10 am), U-15 (2 pm) and U-17 (4 pm) divisions at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium in Round One Match Day Four of the Malta Carib 2015 YPL.

Also on Sunday, North East Stars will welcome San Juan Jabloteh at all divisions at the Ojoe Road Recreation Ground in Sangre Grande.

However Round One Match Day Four action will kick off on Saturday 11 April with St. Ann’s Rangers hosting W Connection at the Trinity College Ground in Moka; Caledonia AIA hosting Defence Force at Valtrin Recreation Ground in Valsayn; and Police FC hosting Central FC at the St. James Barracks.
