Keshon Hackshaw and Isaiah Lee were both on target as North East Stars blanked Club Sando 2-0 to join San Juan Jabloteh at the top of the Flow Youth Pro League Under-18/Reserve Division standings on Sunday.
Former national youth team striker Brent Sam fired Jabloteh ahead from the penalty-spot in the 23rd put, but Derron John hit back with a 78th minute penalty of his own for Central to snatch a share of the points, and stay within a point of the lead, level with Pt Fortin Civic, which has played a match more after it edged St Ann’s Rangers 1-0 thanks to a 44th minute Nion Lammy strike.
In the Under-16 age-group, Jabloteh stayed top of the table via its 1-0 defeat of Central FC with Kyle Thomas’ 67th minute strike, the difference to move to 16 points from six matches, two more than North East Stars which battled past Club Sando 3-2, while Morvant Caledonia United, is a further point behind, but with a match in hand.
And in the Under-14 competition, W Connection handed Defence Force its first loss, 2-1 to jump to third spot with 12 points, three off the top while Jabloteh blanked Central FC 2-0 to say second with 13 points.
The matches between Morvant Caledonia United and Police FC were re-scheduled to May 26.
