A new champion will be crowned in the Atlantic LNG National Primary School Football League (PSFL) as defending champion in the Boys Under-15 category, Bon Accord Government was booted out.

The Tobago champion was eliminated at the quarterfinal stage of the Boys U-15 division competition at the Shaw Park Recreational Grounds, Shaw Park last Monday. Whim Anglican ended Bon Accord’s reign with a 3-1 defeat.

It was sweet revenge for Whim Anglican, who lost last year’s zonal and national finals to Bon Accord. In Port of Spain, former national champions and seven-time Port of Spain Champion Carenage Boys Government was also knocked oout of the tournament by Diamond Vale Govennment. Eastern Boys Government School advanced after an impressive 4-1 victory over newcomer Newtown Boys RC School in the Port of Spain and Environs district final at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Mucurapo on Friday.

Carenage registered their first lien on the U-15 Girls Trophy with a good 2-1 win over Diamond Vale Government School. Most Valuable Player — Natisha Jules was the marksman for the champion. In the new U-11 Boys competition, Sacred Heart Boys RC beat Carenage Boys 2-1 to lift the prestigious trophy.

Sacred Heart ran up a 2-0 lead at the half through the skill of midfielder and Most Valuable Player (MVP) Jarrique Williams, who led his team with a double. In Tobago last Monday, Montgomery Government routed Mason Hall Government 7-0. In the semi-final matches played at Goodwood Charlotteville Methodist edged Hope Anglican 2-1 while Speyside Anglican prevailed over St Andrew 2-1, on penalty kicks after both teams were locked at 1-1 at the end of regulation time.

Among the girls, Bon Accord dominated Belle Garden Anglican 6-0 at Jubilee Park, with Vernica London netting a hat-trick and top striker Anika Thomas a double. Keera Charles also got on the scoresheets for the winner. Bon Accord will play last year’s runners up Mason Hall Primary, who beat St Andrews Anglican 1-0 at Dusty Park.

In the South Eastern Education District, St Thomas RC defeated St Mary's Gov't to book there place in the National play-off. They won the U15 Boys Championship of the South Eastern Education District with a 7-0 succees. Moruga RC won the other two championship . They whipped St Mary's Gov't 9-0 to take the U-15 Girls title, before running away with the U-11 Boys title.
