Tobago Under-15 girls’ champion St Andrews Anglican cruised into the final yesterday when they easily defeated Good Shepherd Anglican 4–0 at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Port-of-Spain.

The champions gave a superb display dominating the match from the beginning to the end with the league’s highest scorer, Gamelia Waldron, doing the spade work for the winner with three goals.

Waldron put her team ahead in the fourth minute before Celine Winchester put the Tobago champion further ahead in the 13th minute. In the 18th minute Waldron added her second item to make it 3–0 at the interval.

On the resumption, Good Shepherd tried to rally but the powerful Tobago outfit proved too much and in the 31st minute Waldron scored her third goal to carry her tally to 31 goals for the season.

St Andrews will now meet champion Moruga RC who got into the final via a 2–1 victory over Vos Government at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium in Marabella.

Sharon Janite put them ahead in the 14th minute before Vos Government equalised to be 1–1 at the half time whistle.

Last year’s champion upped their game in the final ten minutes and Janite struck with seven minutes left on the clock to see Moruga into the final for the second consecutive time.

Today, the U-15 Boys will be in action at two venues in Trinidad with eighth-time champions Arima Boys RC looking to continue their climb to glory when they come up against South Eastern winners Mayaro RC. Arima Boys cruised into the semifinal round with an emphatic victory over Nelson Street Boys RC of Port-of-Spain and environs. That match will be played at 10 am at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium.

In the other semifinal, Tobago champion Montgomery Government will meet Sangre Grande Government at the Hasely Crawford Stadium from 11 am and not 10 am to facilitate the flight from Tobago.

The finals of all age groups will be contested on November 18 at the Hasely Crawford Stadium beginning at 9.15 am.
