The former T&T defender gave his predictions in Everton recently as he and other Everton coaching staff officials sat down for talks ahead of the Finals which kicks off today in Sao Paulo.

He selected Italy as the team to spring a surprise.

“The darkhorse is the Italians. They always seem to know how to get the job done.”

The former Wrexham and Defence Force player picked Brazilian Fred to be the tournament’s topscorer.

“I’m going to go with Fred. He will have a good team in front of him and the fans will be backing him. It will be interesting to see how Neymar adapts to it. I will keep a close eye on him and see how he acquits to it during this World Cup,” Lawrence said.
