David completes Saprissa move

TRINIDAD AND Tobago defender Aubrey David has officially completed his move to Costa Rica’s powerhouse Deportivo Saprissa.

The 25-year-old Trinidad and Tobago national team defender passed his fitness test on Tuesday, completing the move for a one-year contract with Saprissa. 

The former FC South End, Joe Public, TTEC and Morvant Caledonia United player said he wants to adapt fast at his new club where he will occupy the position of right-back. 

The Guyanese-born David was one of three new signings, including Jaime Penedo and Roy Miller, made by Saprissa. 

David represented TT at two FIFA World Cups - in 2007 (Under-17 in South Korea) and 2009 (Under-20 in Egypt), and is currently a member of the Soca Warriors. He has had previous overseas stints in Finland with FF Jaro (2014) and Kazakhstan club Shakhter Karagandy (2015).
