A new champion will be crowned today in the Girls’ BGTT/First Citizens Secondary Schools’ Football League (SSFL) National InterCol final, when Tobago winner Bishop’s High, takes the trip to South Trinidad, to face favourites Debe Secondary, at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella, from 3.30 pm.

BISHOP’S High School (BHS) is now the Tobago Girls Intercol Football Champion for the very first time after they defeated Scarborough Secondary 3-2 in a highly entertaining match at the Dwight Yorke stadium yesterday.

In the opening match of the double header at the Mannie Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella, Debe kept control and composure as expected from a champion. The South Zone winner, which was the only girls’ team this season to secure a victory in every match of the campaign, was up 3-0 at half time, and never looked back.
Siparia East pleased with with SSFL debut
EVEN though Siparia East Secondary bowed out of the BGTT/ First Citizens Girls Intercol quarter-finals earlier this month, the south school was still in high praise of their players and managerial staff for finally sealing the school’s debut in the decorated Intercol tournament.
