Fyzabad Secondary clinched the BG T&T/First Citizens Girls Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL) South Zone title with a 4-1 win over Siparia East Secondary in the final round of the South Zone competition, on Sunday.

Fyzabad finished their league campaign with 21 points, with seven wins and one defeat, to dethrone Debe Secondary, who were second with 19 points, with six wins, one defeat and one draw.

Debe had a bye in the final round.

In the East, St Augustine Secondary beat Arima North Secondary 9-0, while San Juan North Secondary defeated Toco Secondary 5-0. The other game in the East saw St George’s overcome El Dorado East Secondary 1-0.

And in Tobago, Bishop’s High School, who clinched the zonal crown last Thursday, were beaten 2-1 by Speyside. Sunday’s North Zone matches were rescheduled.
