Presentation College San Fernando will look to continue their perfect start to the 2012 BG T&T Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL) season against South Zone opponents St Benedict's College from five p.m. today at Manny Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella.
So far in the League, "Pres" Sando are the only team to have played two matches and won both. They are on six points, and ahead of four teams with three points each: defending champions Shiva boys Hindu College, who are playing their second match after a bye in the last round, St Benedict's, Pleasantville Secondary and Naparima College.
St Benedict's won their opener against Moruga Secondary handsomely, but stuttered against Naparima to lose 2-1 on Wednesday. The "La Romaine Lions" will be hoping they can stop "Pres" today.
Naparima also have a tough fixture, against Shiva Boys at Penal, after losing their opener 3-0 to "Pres" Sando. And Pleasantville lock horns with Princes Town West Secondary in the first match of a Manny Ramjohn Stadium double-header. That match starts at three p.m. Moruga are on a bye.
The Tobago Zone will have their first encounter for the season when Speyside Secondary and Scarborough Secondary clash at Charlotteville, after last weekend's opening round was postponed due to venue unavailability.
The other Tobago fixture, between Roxborough and Mason Hall, has also been postponed due to issues with Roxborough's uniforms.
Over in the North, East Mucurapo and St Anthony's College will look to earn an advantage atop the table, as both teams are locked on points and goal difference, and separated by just one goal.
Mucurapo "host" St Mary's College at Fatima College's Mucurapo Road Ground, while St Anthony's play Trinity College at their Westmoorings "lair".
There will also be a full slate of matches in the Central and East Zones.
