A Kyle George double was enough to hand Roxborough Secondary a 2-1 victory over defending champion Signal Hill in the Coca-Cola Tobago Boys Inter-Col for a spot in the semifinal, when the two team’s met in the second match of a double-header at the Dwight Yorke Stadium, Bacolet, yesterday.

Mason Hall also won by a similar 2-1 result over newly-promoted Bishop’s in the first match, as it joined Speyside and league winner Scarborough Secondary in the last four stage of the competition, which will kick off on Saturday.

In the latter fixture, George gave Roxborough the perfect start with a strike in the third minute, which he doubled in the 76th minute. Shaquille Gibson pulled one back in the 89th minute for Signal Hill but last year’s Tobago InterCol champion was unable to level the score, as Roxborough sealed a berth to the semifinal, where it meets Scarborough.

In the first match, which kicked off InterCol action, Mason Hall found a comfortable opening and went in at the end of the first half with a 2-0 lead, when Monari Walker and Akim Legall scored just minutes apart halfway through the opening period. Walker scored in the 23rd, followed by Legall’s effort in the 27th minute, as created an uphill task for Bishop’s.

Bishop’s was unable to break through the Mason Hall defence throughout the match but was also given a lifeline in the first minute of stoppage time when Che Diaz converted a spot kick. But, the scoring was done as Mason Hall found the last four spot against Speyside.
