CARAPICHAIMA Senior Comprehensive picked up their first points, when they scored a come from behind 3-2 win over Barataria Senior Comprehensive in a East/Central Zone clash of the BWIA Secondary Schools Football League, on Saturday at Carapichaima.

The victory lifted "Caps" one notch from the bottom of the ladder. The visitors opened the scoring in the 18th minute against the run of play, when Ryan Theroulde headed past the "Caps" custodian from a right-side cross. The home team struck back in the 36th minute when Maurice Parkes scored with neat header.

The scores were levelled 1-1 at the interval. On the resumption, the teams enjoyed an equal share of the exchanges, with both goal-keepers being called to make timely clearances. However, in the 58th minute, Theroulde shot home powerfully from inside the 18-yard box, to send Barataria back into the lead.

But the home team never gave up and equalised in the 75th minute from the penalty spot, when Parkes was brought down. Bevill Constantine converted the spot kick.In a bold bid for full points, "Caps'" went all out in attack and it was no surprise when Jason Bhan netted the winner in the 80th minute, after a goal­mouth scrimmage.

The win pushed "Caps" into joint sixth placed with Barataria on three points. Presentation College, Chaguanas which suffered a huge 6-0 defeat at the hands of Arima Secondary plunged to the bottom of the table with one point.San Juan Secondary lead the standings with a perfect 12 points from four matches. Round five action will takes place tomorrow in all the zones.
