BGTT/First Citizens Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL) Championship Division Football continued over the weekend, as teams from across all five zones continue their push towards promotion to the Premier Division next season.

Mucurapo East Secondary (aka Compre) have a six-point lead in the North Zone, on 13 points, while Tranquility Secondary and Blanchisseuse Secondary failed to seize their opportunity to close the gap when they played each other to a 2-2 draw. The match between Malick Secondary and Diego Martin Central Secondary had to be abandoned due to a power outage. Mucurapo were on a bye.

Pleasantville Secondary top the South Zone with 16 points and showed why with a 3-0 win over Point Fortin East Secondary. Vessigny Secondary drew 2-2 with Moruga Secondary, while Siparia West Secondary played Princes Town West Secondary to a 0-0 stalemate.

Chaguanas North Secondary maintained their winning ways when they beat Miracle Ministries 3-0 to stay top of the group with 18 points. Tabaquite Secondary edged Couva East Secondary by 3-2.

Over in the East Zone Fiver Rivers Secondary are still pushing to make their first appearance in the Premier Division. They demolished Arima North Secondary 4-1 and moved to the top with 14 points; a four-lead over Toco Secondary. Toco beat Barataria South Secondary 3-0 to remain in second.

Across the strait in Tobago, Scarborough Secondary are five points ahead with 15 points at the top of the standings. They defeated current second-placed Signal Hill Secondary 3-1. Mason Hall drew 1-1 with Bishop’s High, while Pentecostal Light and Life were 2-0 victors over Roxborough Secondary.
