SHASTRI SPENCER and Shane Calderon both netted a pair of goals each for East Zone leader St Augustine Secondary Comprehensive as it registered another victory in the British Gas Secondary School Football League at St Augustine yesterday.


The “Green Machine” defeated El Dorado Secondary Comprehensive 5-1 to remain ahead in the group.

Spencer, who has this season specialized in scoring doubles, did not disappoint his fans netting his fifth double to increase his tally to 13.

He posted two second half goals in a match which closed at the half with the scores tied 1-1.

St Augustine’s first goal was attained by Calderon in the 36th minute but El Dorado’s Dwight Crichlow equalized in 45th, scoring the “Blue Thunder” only goal of the match.

Spencer initiated the scoring for St Augustine, 15 minutes into the second session.

From there it was all downhill for the “El Do” boys as Calderon posted his other goal in the 82nd minute.

Matthew Ramirez was on target with a penalty in 85th minute while Spencer sealed the win for “Gustine” with the second of his double in the final minute .

In Arima, the match between Arima Senior Comprehensive and Hillview College ended tied 2-2 while in Barataria, St George’s College playing at home outplayed Valencia High School to win that affair 5-0.

In the other match in the East playing in San Juan saw the host team, San Juan Secondary Comprehensive go away with a 4-2 win over Barataria Secondary Comprehensive.
