TREVON JAMES and his Scarborough Secondary team-mates made full use of a short-handed Elizabeth’s College team to register an 18-0 win in their Tobago Zone of the British Gas Secondary Schools Football League clash on Saturday.
The Elizabeth’s team started the match at Shaw Park with only seven dressed players and were totally outplayed as James helped himself to six first-half goal with the opener as early as the second minute.

James then added to his tally in the fourth, ninth, 13th. 34th and 37th to shoot to the top of the SSFL’s leading scorers table with St Augustine Senior Comprehensive’s and national Under-17 striker Shastri Spencer.

Keno Kerr added four goals for Scarborough (4th, 6th, 24th & 30th), Marvin Wright got three (fifth, 11th & 15th) and Valton Braithwaite a double, in the 29th and 43rd minutes.

Antonio Balfour (eight), Noray Osmond (18th) and Kareem Phillips added the others before the break.

However at the end of the half, Elizabeth’s decided to throw in the towel when one of their outfield players picked up an injury, reducing the team to six players.

This left referee Lester Alleyne with no choice but to award the match to Scarborough.

In the other match played, title-holders, Signal Hill Senior Comprehensive squandered an early 2-0 lead away to Roxborough in their 2-2 draw with all the goals coming in the first 45 minutes.
