Shastri Spencer maintained his remarkable form, scoring two goals for the third consecutive time in as many matches for St Augustine Senior Comprehensive in the British Gas Secondary Schools Football League’s East Zone competition yesterday.
St Augustine made good use of home ground advantage in beating Hillview College 4-1.
Spencer notched his first goal of the match in the 48th minute — the second yesterday for the “Green Machine.”
Joel Williams started the winning team’s scoring in the 39th minute.
Spencer’s other goal came in the 78th minute — 19 minutes after Lorenzo King got the third goal.
Spencer also did the double twice before – in the team’s opening match against rival side Arima Senior Comprehensive and versus Barataria Secondary Comprehensive.
Stefan George got Hillview’s goal five minutes before the end of regulation time.
In another East Zone match, El Dorado Secondary Comprehensive edged St George’s College 6-5.
Dwight Crichlow did the bulk of the “El Do” team scoring with a treble with Jamal Gay, Darnell St Hillaire and Kenata Morris getting the other goals.
For St George’s, Marlon White also did the treble and Marlon St Louis the double.
The matches between Arima and Barataria, and Barataria and Valencia, which were scheduled for Barataria and Valencia respectively were abandoned, due to poor condition of the grounds.
