Signal Hill whipped Mason Hall 6-0 take the Coca Cola Tobago Intercol title at the Dwight Yorke Stadium, yesterday. Signal Hill completed the zonal double adding the knock out title to the League crown they won earlier this season. Dareem Moore led the scoring for the Bertille St Clair coached team with a beaver trick while Daryl Trim and Shakeel Joefield also scored.

Moore opened the scoring in the 6th minute before speedy striker Trim netted in the 18th minute and Joefield added a third in the 33rd minute. Moore hit his second three minutes before half time and completed his spree with a third four minutes into the second half. He completed his day’s work with his fourth goal in the 56th minute.

Signal Hill started slowly as Mason Hall applied early pressure but the former national intercol champs soon got into their stride and took command of the game. Trim and Moore were menacing along the wing with Trim outsprinting the Mason Hall defence. Signal Hill advanced to the final after beating Roxborough 4-0 last Thursday.

Mason Hall were without the services of their regular captain Omar Charles and Oshei Cyrus. Charles, a former national Under-20 defender was sent off in his team’s penalty semifinal win over Scarborough last Thursday. Osei, the younger brother of national defender Daniel Cyrus damaged his ankle in the clash. Shakeel Smith created several chances for Mason Hall but was kept out by the solid Signal Hill defence. Signal Hill will now play St Anthony’s College in the national quarterfinals on Thursday.
