Patrice Arden-Campbell fired in a hat-trick as the T&T Under-17 Women’s football team thrashed Real Dimension 8-1 in their opening match of the 24th Women’s League Football hosted by the T&T Women’s Football Association on Saturday.
The local Under-17’s who are using the league as part of their preparations for next year’s Fifa Under-17 Women’s World Cup here in T&T, were in control of the match from the first blow of the whistle at the Mannie Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella and looked set for a double-digit win. In the end, the scoreline was a deserving result with Annique Walker, Khadisha Debissette, Jo-Marie Lewis, Kayla Taylor and Camille Borneo chipping in with one each to cancel out Natasha St Louis’ lone reply.

In the other Premier Division matches played, former Under-17 starlet Jennel Kissoon of San Juan Jabloteh also scored a hat-trick while Samantha Kissoon (no relation) added one in a 4-0 drubbing of Central United at Gilbert Park, Couva, while Joe Public and Tobago FC drew 0-0 at the Marvin Lee Stadium, Macoya.
