Malick City upset initial First Division table leader Sweaters Touring, beating them 4–0 in the Women’s League Football (WoLF) on Tuesday evening. The one-sided affair took place on St George’s College Ground, Barataria.

After a slow start in the league, Malick have recently rebounded to find themselves in third position with 16 points, two behind Defence Force, who took second place after winning its match against Point Fortin on Tuesday.

While Sweaters, who began the league at the top of the table, have now fallen to fourth, with Trincity Nationals leading on 23 points.

With national senior player, Anastacia Prescot back in its squad, Malick was a little at ease, as the US-based player known for her solid defensive work, helped to prevent any disturbance of her team’s net.

Sweaters were not as fortunate, however, and succumbed to Malick’s new found freedom up front to concede four goals, two from Akeela Oliver and one each from Latoya King and Jamila Derrick.

Malick will face Defence Force today at the same venue to determine who will occupy the second spot on the table. On Maracas Recreational Ground, two goals by Kadisha Castillo and one from Nikiesha Felix, gave North Coast comfortabe 3-0 win over UWI, who have only won one match from nine matches played.
