GOAL CITY eked out a 1-0 victory over Mason Hall USSS to move five points clear of their nearest rivals as Premier Division action continued in the Tobago Football Association.

It was a goal by their leading goalscorer Akini Ferguson which gave Goal City the victory at Moriah.

The victory gave Goal City 24 points, leaving the Mason Hall men on 19.

Bethel United slipped into third place despite being held 0-0 by Lambeau at Shaw Park.

At Canaan in a clash of bottom placed teams, Keron Phillips scored a hat-trick to lead Georgia to an exciting 3-2 victory over 1976 FC Phoenix who remained winless despite goals from Leroy Kerr and Delroy Walker.

Roxborough Lakers and Sidey’s drew their match 1-1 at Goodwood. Shervol Lindow got the Lakers goal while Kester Kerr replied for Sidey’s.

Meanwhile, Golden Lane moved to within two points of Division One Earlbrokes following their 4-2 triumph over Buccoo Ball Park at Shaw Park.

Andonio Balfour smashed in three goals while Ryan McKellar got the other for “The Lane”. While Nickolas Smart and Ronnel Chance netted for the losers.

And in Champion Division action at Mt Pleasant, Leeds United kept Mt Grace United at the bottom of the table, beating them 3-2.

Kursyl Vincent, Valion Brathwaite and Ato Campbell got one goal each for Leeds while Curt Cromarthy and Neishawn Roberts scored for Mt Grace.
