GOAL CITY are within touching distance of the Premier Division title in the Tobago Football Association, following a handsome 4-2 victory over Sidey’s at Moriah.

Now with 38 points with two more matches to go, Goal City keep holding their five point advantage over new challengers Roxborough Lakers.

One gold each from Makesi Jackson, Akini Ferguson, Anderson Taylor and Kayode Legall was enough to see the men from Speyside who got a consolation double from Kester Kent in Sunday’s game.

The Lakers moved into contention with two victories, edging past Sidey’s 3-2 on Friday and then drubbing Georgia 7-2 at Goodwood on Sunday.

Kirn Harris netted two in the goal splurge while Sellon Gray, Devin Sheppard, Affiba Mckenna, Dyke Reid and Kwasi Beckles added to the tally. But in the Championship. Division, Black Rock (25) hold a shaky three point lead over Youth Stars United. Youth Stars dropped two vital points in a 2-2 draw with bottom club Mt Grace at Richmond on Saturday.

Goals by Raoul Trotman and Akeil Thomas for The Stars were countered by strikes from Dyamie Sampson and Curt Cromarthy.
