The Tobago Football Association acceded to the request, postponing the election that was carded for the VIP Lounge, Dwight Yorke Stadium, last week Tuesday.

Only two individuals were nominated for the five vacant posts. Raymond 'Finey' Alleyne and Kerry Lynch would have been elected for the offices of president and vice president, respectively.

Groden acknowledged receipt of the Association's correspondence dated January 13 informing about the snap election and the reasons for the election.

However, the General Secretary noted that the observations made in the correspondence could have far reaching consequences. He, therefore, requested that the Association provide evidence as supported by the constitution to prove the non-functioning of the members in question and the necessary permission to act in the way proposed, "by holding a snap election."

Tobago News spoke to the president, Harvey Jack about the situation and he noted that after reviewing the situation he might have erred in his decision to commence a snap election.

He added that they have since responded to the Federation's request.
