W CONNECTION maintained their perfect run in the Reserve Division of the Digicel Pro League with a 6-0 battering of St Ann’s Rangers in the second game of a Round One Match Day Six double-header at the Ato Boldon Stadium, Couva on Wednesday.

A trio of ex-Trinidad and Tobago youth players got things going for the table-toppers - Matthew Bartholomew netted in the 36th minute, Johan Peltier doubled up in the 40th and Kenaz Williams struck in the 70th.

Keon Quow scored twice in the space of five minutes (77th and 82nd), while Rondell Phillip ended the goal-spree in the 90th.

In the latter of back-to-back contests at the Larry Gomes Stadium in Arima, North East Stars edged cellar-placed San Juan Jabloteh 2-1 to stay second on the table.

Caleb Sturge broke the deadlock for Jabloteh in the 16th minute but, 11 minutes later, Nathan Regis levelled up the scores.

And Neil Mitchell guaranteed full points for North East with the winner in the 88th.

Defence Force advanced to third place following a 4-1 spanking of fellow servicemen Police at Arima.

Dave Long put Defence Force in front after 26 minutes but Kurdell Braithwaite equalised in the 53rd.

That was as good as it got for Police as Defence Force replied with three items, from Curtly Dodds (57th), Balondemu Julius (81st) and Jemel Sebro (86th).

And Caledonia AIA moved up one spot to fourth after a narrow 1-0 win over TTEC at Couva, courtesy of an own goal, seven minutes from full- time, by ex-Trinidad and Tobago central defender Anthony Noreiga.

Round One Match Day Seven fixtures will be contested on February 29.
