Attacking standout Kevon Goddard scored his second hat-trick of the season on Sunday in an inspired second-half surge, as St Ann’s Rangers pulled away to lead the Under-17 division of the Oasis Youth Pro League following a 6–1 whipping of Police.

Goddard opened in the 57th minute and doubled up less than ten minutes later, before Jameel Antoine scored in the 74th minute to give Rangers an unassailable lead.

Nequan Caruth pulled one back for Police with five minutes left, but Rangers responded to the consolation effort when Goddard completed his hat-trick a minute later. Rangers inflated the scoreline with another immediate goal from Sean Bonval, followed by a last minute item from Quincy Ballah.

Rangers managed to pull away at the top by five points, when North East Stars, which was level on points before the match-day, suffered a 4–0 thrashing by T&TEC.

T&TEC, with goals from Keston Purcell (10th) and Keston Frontin (90th) and a brace from Aaron Noel (20th and 44th), put the Electricity Boys on 12 points for a joint second spot with North East Stars.

Next Sunday, Rangers will face an inconsistent Caledonia AIA team at the Valtrin Recreation Ground, Valsayn, in the U-13 (10 am), U-15 (2 pm) and U-17 division (4 pm).

Defence Force will meet T&TEC at San Juan North Secondary, while Police challenges W Connection at St Joseph Convent Ground, St Clair. North East Stars and Central FC will clash in all three divisions at Sangre Grande Recreation Ground.
